Could I use this with the new Ixtreme 1.61 firmware?
I Understood that I need to put the new firmware in the custom folder in 360 Modification folder, anything else I should know about?

Thank you in advance for all your help or tips :P

Thanks for this excellent tools. you planning
to release a new update of the tool? Maybe with v1.61 or compatible for the incoming iXtreme LT.

No, you will still need to take out the DVD Drive out of your xbox, plug it into your pc, make a usb flash/thumb drive bootable with this software and boot your PC from it. Then follow the instructions to flash it.

This is an alternative to JungleFlasher.

JungleFlasher runs on windows and .net framework.

This runs on a Bootable USB Drive on DOS.

If you have a 64 Bit operating system or linux/chrom os, and dont want to install/dual boot a 32bit system then you could use this.

there's an IRC channel with all the updates, but there is also this website (dont know how legit it is, but updates seem genuine)

http://www.ixtremelt.com/index.html

But your better off just checking this forumn out, im sure there will be alot of posts about it once it comes out, it should also be stickied so just keep your eye out for the stickies on thhis forumn.
