Trying to Flash benq

Postby rev53jim » Thu Dec 17, 2009 11:41 am

When I go to device manager should I be seeing my ck3 connectivity kit. I do show my sata card and my portIO32 device driver but no ck3. When I run jungleflasher 0.1.66 I don't get it to read the benq.I sure could use some direction

Try dos flash take a look here >> xbox-360-tutorials/flashing-benq-vad6038-drive-tutorial-t16.html

You should see {PortIO32 - Xbox 360 IO device drivers} in device manager. Do you have the USB drivers for your CK3

Apparently a few weeks ago, lots of antivirus software messed up the portIO drivers. I tried everything to re-install it and followed all the tut's but to no avail (on vista). Luckily I have XP as a backup operating system so am now forced to dual boot to that for flashing. I recommend a hammer, it might not fix things but will sure feel good!

I imagine some files are still sat in the win32 folder. If anybody knows exactly which files need weeding out so I can re-install portIO, please let me know, cheers.

Why do you need a connectivity kit to flash the BenQ? I thought you only needed one to read the key out of a LiteOn drive.

a connectivity kit connects all drives to the sata card and provides the com ports in jungleflasher etc. It's the probe attachment thats for the liteon which connects to the CK3 that only the liteon uses (up to july 2009) the latest drives need hardware modding and I have posted a fresh link for that tutorial this evening
