The xbox I'm trying to use it on came with a lite-on drive. Are you saying I could just use the Liteon Drive key on the BenQ drive with Stock, and I could do the whole dashboard upgrade and everything?
just use one of the benQ's in its place. put the benq firmware on it but the lite-ons key and it will work just fine

dong the dash update with the wrong drive will only throw an error (E66) if the update inquires the DVD drive. The BenQ with the Lite-On key will work just fine and respond as normal to your 360, it will give you time to source another lite-on while still being able to play!

I just did a BenQ swap with a box had had a lite-on and it updated fine. was on 13599 and I forgot to update to 14719 before doing the swap and it took the update no problem.
Okay because before I had a BenQ drive in the system that was running iXtreme v1.6 and was spoofed as a liteon drive. I'm guessing I would take the dummy.bin from the original Liteon drive that I dumped the key from, and insert the key manually inside of Jungle Flasher into the Stock BenQ firmware. From there do the dashboard update, then flash from Stock to BenQ LT v3.0 using the same key? Sorry just trying to make sure I do things right before messing up my crap again lol
Thanks again for the help guys!
Hey sorry for the double post, however I took a video of whats happening with the laser in the drive with my phone and put it up on Youtube. Figured that would make things a lot easier.
Have you checked the worm motor? I had a similar problem with a slim drive and found the 2 screws that hold it in place were loose causing the white plastic to jump when trying to read a disc, you could also try using worm motor from your old liteon 8xx drive
