Ok guys so I have yet another question, You must be getting tired of me by now. I have seen in a few places about connecting xbox drives to PC via molex by use of an adapter or making your own. I wonder is there any way of doing this using a SATA Power cable or connection.
Thanks for listening to me asking crazy questions once again![]()
............. sorry I will rephrase my question, I would like to remove my xbox power (10 pin connector) and replace it with a SATA power (If that is even possible)
Didnt mean to confuse, Im not too good with wording things
The biggest problem is the voltages needed. Standard SATA & molex have 12V, 5V and ground, that's it. You need 3.3V for the 360 drive, plus a way to rig the eject. I think you're better getting a CK3 mini and doing something to make your eject accessible on the outside of the case. Or just put the whole thing in an external enclosure.

Ok Marko, Thanks for the advice once again![]()
For what its worth, there is a 3.3V line that goes to the motherboard, if you're looking at making it a permanent attachment to your PC. You could even wire in the reset button or power button on your PC case to be the disc eject button for the 360 drive.
Hmmm, I dont use my reset button anyway. This is definitely worth a look at![]()
