Hello, now I am probably going to be asking a question that has never been asked before.
Could it or is it possible at all to get a laptop DVD drive like a Dual layer one and get it working in the Xbox with some kind of Firmware hacking, hardware modification and anything else because I really want the ability to do this.
Now I know next to nothing about firmware I have flashed a few drives etc but I know nothing about firmware so I dont know if this could at all be possible. Theres also maybe hardware modification to look at would it be possible to use the Xbox logic board but with a laptop drive. All I need is just a method of making a much thinner DVD drive and this would be a awesome thing for you to say you made possible if you or your team made this.

Quick, Short & Straight to the Point!
Actually i am working on this as you are reading this! i have a Samsung TS-L633 Version C. There will need to be a couple of modifications done to the drive controller board and some to the Xbox it's self. i think for now it would only accessible to J-TAG's only sense on J-TAG's The CPU is Hacked and all you really need to do is find a way to power to drive and flash the firmware and key. you would have to wire the power to where it fits all of the power commands from the Xbox to the drive i don't even think it's been attempted before. It's only been looked at i think people stop when they couldn't find a way to power the drive. but if you look it up on Google it's called a 6 Pin Power Sata connector. You can order the molex to 6 pin or rig it your self. But i think Tom Wright we Can possibly do this share ideas back and forth.
And what would be the point exactly?
