Xbox Not Turning Off ! Help!

Whenever I Play My Xbox Its Fine..
Whenever i turn it off the console shuts down , but i can hear the console power still running as if its still on?

Will this cause it to break?

Also it gets v.hot at the back but has been fine

Its not a big deal, i had an older console do that too. It shut off after like 5-10 min. Im pretty sure it stays on to cool its self off.

Are you charging your controller with the Plug N Play kit? When i have the plug n play kit in, my xbox stays on, so i have to hit the power button again and it goes off
