Swapping DVD drives on Consoles.

Hello Everyone,

I tried to search but i couldn't find a definite answer so here is my problem. I have an elite and an arcade. The Elite has the 3RROD so i tried the RROD fix but i wouldn't fix after countless attempts so i gave up on it. My friend gave me his arcade which was overheating because it was extremely dirty so i cleaned it out and it works perfectly but the DVD drive is all messed up and broken. My question is what do i need to so i can use the Drive from the Elite on the
Arcade.

The Elite's Drive is a :
Phillips BenQ
Model Num : VAD6038

Arcade's Drive is a :
Toshiba Samsung
Model Num : TS-H943

What would i need to do to be able to swap the drives ? Any help is appreciated, Sorry im new to all of this.

Hi,

What you will need to do is get the dvd key from your BenQ drive and then flash the Samsung drive using the key you just got from the BenQ
