Safe to play OFFLINE if not already banned until new FW?

I am just wondering if the checks are being done whilst connected to LIVE and done on the fly?

OR

If the checks have been included in the large spring (or any other) update. So even if you play offline the check can be done and you get flagged ready to send the info for your ban the moment you connect to LIVE??

Just i have had a few friends that say last online 5th Nov but one of them went on their xbox on the 10th and got the message he was banned the moment he signed into XBL without firing up a game.

At the moment mine is off and unplugged but just wondered if i was to disconnect and play offline on my profile, wait for FW update then sign in online to update my user score etc, if i would:-
A) If i wasn't flagged before i still wont be flagged and the new fw would save me from being flagged;
B) If i wasn't flagged before but i can still be flagged offline and disconnected due to the checks being done offline aswell due to something hidden in recent updates

I did the network check and it's not showing up as banned does this check just check if you are banned or is it flagged? i.e if it shows that i am not banned then i could still be flagged!?

I'm just wanting to play my games and don't mind offline for the moment but don't know if it's safe or not!??

Just play offline if you haven't been detected (which I don't think I have.) You're all good.

Then when the new FW is out.. Update and say FU.

Then again. I don't know if You'll get in shit for the unexplainable achievement points.

Yeah i don't normally repeat post, but then as i started to write in your post i thought "maybe other people may have the same questions" so i created a seperate post as i'm sure others will wonder the same.

As far as unexplainable acheivments, how would they know that i haven't lost internet for a few weeks or maybe taken console around to a friends for a few week etc.

I tested the network without signing in and the details on the Z row don't have the _ _ _ D on the end so that means i'm not banned. Just don't really want to register it and hen try the send in for repair method as this may raise susspicion on if it is modded

Well if you played on it before with the firmware your about as safe as your ever going to be offline.

My personal opinion if you think your going to get banned and you have extra cash just buy a new console don't mod it and keep the other one unplugged.

A banned console is a sad console

so...what will hapopen if you gain achievements on a banned console and go on to a non banned one....will you still have the achievements or is there some way in doing that

I would suggest using link in my signature to test if your banned, if you are banned at least you know NOT to go on xbiox live as it will make your xbox unusable for offline achievements/game saves as it will corrupt all game saves/profiles on that xbox. As well as prevent you from playing from HDD.

If you are not banned I would definately wait until new firmware comes out.
