Hey All,
I'm new to flashing but anyway, I have a hitachi 78 flashed with 1.51 never connected to xbox live and has yet to play a single burned game. I only flashed it to get it to work in a different xbox, but as that is unnecessary now I want it back to being legit.
I read that since I'm on 1.51 I would be given away by data recorded to the nand. Is this true? Can I get this drive back to being legit and avoid a ban? Is it possible that since I haven't gone online or played any burned games that I might be okay?
Anyway, Thanks in advance and maybe someone could point me in the direction of a good guide to restoring a hitachi 78 to stock.
PS: would it be prudent to format my HDD?

The damage as already been done im afraid, as you are already aware of the nand chip that stores all info so even if you flash back to stock MS will still have full knowledge of what been going on with your drive.
It would be the same process you carried out to flash your drive at first only using the stock firmware instead of iXtreme

No you dont need to buy a new drive you can return your drive back to stock, but as i say i wont make any difference MS will be aware of the changes next time you connect to live.

No LT can keep you safe online if you follow the correct procedure, but it cant stop you from been banned if your already flagged!

well thanks for the help, I have a benQ xbox too that needs a dvd drive so i guess that will be my primary live box(with lite touch)
I'm thinking of selling the hitachi as it is still unbanned, or waiting till hitachi lite touch to put it online.
thx again
