"Open Tray" error with backups on Flashed Liteon drive

hey guys i have a liteon 74850c drive that is flashed with LiteTouch 1.1 and i just finished burning my first game.. i burned black ops and stealthed it all correctly but i keep getting open tray.. all my original games work fine its just backups ..HELP PLEASE!!! what could be causing this issue?

hmmm...i would say it was probably because of either:

1) NOT unplugging the white ribbon cable for the laser.

2) Updating the dashboard after flashing LT.

both of these are not proven one way or another, but are possibilities of why you are receiving an Open Tray error.

you can probably still pot tweak it (i like 3.36) and it will work fine.....worse case....new laser.

i did make sure i unplug the white ribbon.. and i think i did update the dashboard after flashing but then i flashed my drive back to stock firmware and reflashed it to LT 1.1.. shouldnt it be working then?

i ALWAYS do dash updates BEFORE flashing.

i have seen hundreds of LiteOns and i would recommend in order as stated above:

1) Clean Lens

2) if above fails, Pot Tweak to around 3.36ohms

3) if above fails, Replace Laser

4) if above fails, Replace Drive (With same model) (LAST RESORT!!!)


if you must end up replacing the drive (not likely) make sure your KEY is safe somewhere
