Getting Drive Key from Slims

hello was wanting to check if i was gonna use X360Key on a slim would i be able to READ the drive key on any SLIM, or are there some drive that we cant yet read the info we need ??? if so what models are unreadable ??

360 key won't read anything. 360usbpro will. and yes most slims from the last year cannot be hacked

Most slims cant be hacked? your kidding right? LOL theirs only 3 drives atm that cant be hacked out of 8

also, i think the OP means can he read the key from a slim to use on the xkey, as you need the key off the drive for the xkey to work...

1 If you have lost your DVD key then you need to RGH (google it) the slim to get your DVD key and if your slim is less than a year old you might have a new motherboard which you cant glitch.

2 If your just trying to flash your drive then check here c4eva Speaks! | automated irc logs, updated instantly whenever and wherever c4eva speaks to see if firmware is available for it asuming you have at least opened the slim and checked which drive you have. If firmware is available open the drive and check the numbers on the micro chip to see which micro chip you have and decide if you can add a switch or you need a new PCB/kamakazi method to flash it.

3 If you really do just want your key then last time I checked you dint need a USB pro as some other chipsets (eg via VT6421A) will dump and show you the key. But you will still need it though to take a full dump and flash.
Can someone confirm this is still the case. Mine got dumped on ebay

all i want to know is can i read the drive key via a CK3 Probe so i can add Keyfile to X360Key... i dont want to flash the drive :P but i do need Key to use Xkey

also i dont have a slim yet but soon i will... so is there anyway i can check which drive is inside a slim. like the red, yellow etc cable trick on the phat?

Not really as the vast majority are liteons so unless the shop lets you open up and see then its a crap shot... Try and hit a mfr date of 2010 for the best chance. And unless its hitachi or liteon 1175 then the key can be read by sata and comoatible chipset...
