Dont be mean, seven lol. Andy, you better give me a like for answering this simple question... Lightscribe is this special function in some cd burners that allows you to turn over the cd on the disc tray and literally burn an image or text on the face of the cd. If you ask me, just use a normal marker lol.

Plain and simple...it just let's you write whatever u want on the top of the disc but it has to be a lightscribe disc.

Just buy the 124b, its all you need, and its way cheaper... mines sitting on a desk doing absolutely nothing for the moment because all I use it for is to burn backups... waiting... longing... hungering... is that really a word hungering... anyways... hungering... for its next meal of Memorex disc it can f*ck up, even though I did everything right... except for continuing to use Memorex disc's... lurking... lying inert like an object with no momentum or inertial energy... like my last girlfriend... lolz

actually the 224B was about 3-4 dollars cheaper on newegg the other day when I ordered one. but thats cuz it was on sale and barebones, no box or cables or fancy manual.
