imgburn and liteon drive ihas 324b

i ordered the ihas drive flashed it and it reads the dl disks no problem tells me the right size and everything. but when i load imgburn i get errors.
its starts to write after 3 errors but then error Invalid Address For Write
or power calibration area full. so i desided to use my blu-ray / dvd write that also is liteon and it burned the game but had to turncate it the whole reason i bought the ihas drive is so i didn't have to do the turncate so i can play the xgd3 games but.... no luck. if any one could shed some light on why it might be doing that it would sure make my day.oh and i am using memorex disk. they worked for me for years and worked on my other drive. scraching my head on this one.

You need to use good quality discs for XGD3 backups. It didn't really matter as much before with XGD2, you could get away with a lot. But not so with XGD3. The reason you need to have good media is because you're now burning to the outer edge of the disc, the most inconsistent area. On lower quality discs, this area is extremely spotty and I'm willing to bet money that's why you're having issues. You need to get your hands on some Made in Singapore Verbs and use those for your XGD3 backups.

You should maybe delete that since this forum doesn't endorse piracy.

And yes Verbatim MKM003 are the best for XGD3 backups.

You're lucky Marco helped considering you posted the pirated ISO in your log.

so even tho i just took that same game and burned it with my ihbs blu ray burner and it had no problems what so ever and it played. its the disk? then why don't it just said the disk is crap get verbs? i burned xgd3 games on memorex aswell just made a back up of copy of my brothers ncaa 13 played fine but it was burnt with my ihbs blu ray\ dvd writer. just burnt sleeping dogs on there as well plays just fine. so from what i head i blew money on a drive so imgburn what ask if i want to turncate.

Im not entirely sure what your asking, but if you are truncate burning your backups then you didn't flash your ihas 324b with iXtreme Burner Max Firmware. Even if your game is playing its still not a 100% copy of the game, im also positive when you use Memorex discs their are tons of errors and its not a good burn. Try installing the game to your Xbox 360's hard drive and see what happens.

well i was told that it wouldn't matter if i used verbs or mem. my ihas drive is flashed with the ixtreme burner max. and when i put the dual layer disk in there it sits at leadin for a few then say Failed to Write Sectors 0 - 31 - Reason: Power Calibration Area Is Full then it will go write for a min or two then says Failed to Write Sectors 2134608 - 2134639 - Reason: Write Error. what i don't understand is i was told i needed and ihas to burn xgd3 games to play them. me and my brother own an xbox so i really don't to but two copys so i usely rip his copy and vice versa heck i even just did lollipop chainsaw and its playing great. when i tryed to burn them with my old drive the game would pop up on the xbox but the say unreadible disk or clean disk. would i be better off just getting my system RGH

oh and i have two light on drives one is the ihas 324b and the others is a IHBS112-04 blu-ray writer,
i don't mean to be a pain in the back side i just hate when things go wrong when it clearly told me it will work with memorex. oh heres the link where i got it http://www.ebay.com/itm/280919274991...ht_4817wt_1031
    clearly states memorex.

You need to look at the settings for your ihas. Clear the opc history. Set either Force HT or Online HT to enabled. Your ihbs is set to read OPC. Try setting the ihas the same. And yes, the media could be causing the issue also. But change the setting first.

OPC is optimal power calibration, so this is where your error stems from. It's not able to determine the best power setting for the laser on the Mem disk. Online Hypertuning will give the drive some idea where to start if the disk ID and write strategy are in the database. Or you can Force the Hypertuning to take a stab at it and correct itself on subsequent burns.
