Yes I know there are may posts bout this kind of thing but mine is really odd.
Ok so it had the lite-on fw 1.61, went to flash it to LT.
Xbox its self has the latest update already, JF version 0.1.72 with benq support.
Loaded my dummy.bin, it spoofed the LT, then it went to erase the drive, write and got to the 0 and one period and then crashed. Killed the program after 5min of it just hanging there. Now rebooted the program, lite-on erase does not work:
Sending Lite-On-Erase request to port 0xEF80
..............
Drive returned Status 0x80
....................
Device Intro failed!
now I try to eject nothing so FW is erased already.
then I just try the intro/device ID and get:
Re-sending Vendor Intro:
....
Serial flash found with Status 0x72
Sending Device ID request to port 0xEF80
Manufacturer ID: 0xEF
Device ID: 0x11
Flash Name: Winbond/NEX(W25P20/NX25P20)
Flash Size: 262144 bytes
so it reads the flash and even says status 0x72 in the flash chip properties box.
I try write and get well the normal drive response is wrong or it says it has valid status gets to the 0 and hangs again.
What is up with that? after every hang I can get the vendor mode and it give chip status but it refuses to flash.

Re: Lite on flashing to LT
Are you using a via card? I've had something similar happen to me. Try this, take the cord, and plug it into another sata port on your via card, or motherboard.
Then, open up Jungle flasher, go to the mtk flash 32 tab, and you'll have to change the i/o port list to another selction. But since your firmare is erased, it wont show if you select it correctly, so start at the first one, then click Intro/device id, if that doesnt work, change the i/o port again, then repeat.
Let me know.

Re: Lite on flashing to LT
Ya sry a via card is what I was using.
I tried another sata and JF didn't like that one bit. So some one suggested to try a DOS flash, and it worked off the same VIA card. IDK whats wrong with JF, but it patched the LT fine for DOS flash.
The dive works 100% now.
