Nice I have a benq with 1.6 from a banned xbox. I just got a new xbox with a lite-on 93450c drive. It looks like I have to Solder or cut the pcb to flash 93450c. Can I flash 1.7 on my benq and use it on my new xbox?

Thanx for the link and help

Ï read somewhere that the BenQ ixtreme 1.7 LT is on-the-fly which means i can update my firmware with a usb drive. Is that true? And if yes, Is there any tutorial on how to do this?

Dear James and all members of this remarkable forum,

I have XBOX360 PAL BenQ softmoded/flashed with iXtreme 1.41 since I got it.

Six months ago, I made an update of my drive's modded Firmware into iXtreme 1.6 (for the first time).

My question is, if I made another update from my current BenQ FW iXtreme 1.6 in to BenQ iXtreme 1.7 LT am I gonna OK doing that? or I should upgrade it first to 1.61 then 1.7 ?

Another question, does iXtreme 1.7 is the same as iXtreme LT ?

Thanks in advance,
Futeki

I flashed from 1.6 to 1.7 with no issues. Thanks to all that helped make this possible.

i have some questions. i have ixtreme 1.61, system update 2.0.8498.0 . how is better:
1) flash to stock fw, update system and than flash to LT.
2) flash immediately to LT and than update.

before i make flashing and updateing,if i formating xbox HDD its sometnhing gives me(will be safer in XBL)? all save games and profiles i dont care ;)

You can update it straight from your current version to LT lite touch.

Thanks for your reply James.

By the way, I did not made any system updates for my xbox since November 2009.

So, Am I safe to continue flashing straight from my current version (iX 1.6) to LT ?

If yes, then I should ignore the following best practices from Jungle Flasher steps:

[1] flash to stock
[2] make latest system update
[3] flash to LT

I'd like to see the justifications for ignoring the above steps please.
