Ihhhh.... Sorry but not for reading the nand. There's only alternative points for the coolrunner but not the nand reading
I got a box (falcon) for applying a RGH. I was told that this box had a nand restore before.
When I disassembled the box I noticed one of the solderpoints is gone (probably by the guy how did the nand restore), see the pic (black hole in red ring (back of mobo)). Can I still use the Phat QSB (third point can not be soldered , see pic) or do I need an alternative point? If alternative, what point? Or is it not possible anymore?

hi, its definatley a ground point, i never use it as it takes too much heat, thats why it looks like it does!
solder the wire that goes there to anywhere on the ground where the screws come thru.
just clean the copper up 1st, where you decide to solderto get good contact.

OK, did a jasper first (some freezing problems, but fiddling around with the wires helped).
Now back to the falcon: I used a wire to solder it to another ground point.
However now when I want to dump the nand, nandpro gives me "Can not continue".
Most say because it is of bad soldering, but I checked all soldered points with a multimeter and they are all fine.
Anyone any idea?
Edit: gave up on this one, left the QSB's in the box and just flashed with iXtreme 3.0. Still wondering what was/is wrong.

I had a similar problem with one of my xboxs, in the end I managed to read and write the nand using an infectus mod chip. This was on a xenon though but I think it might be able to jaspers as well.
