    Question Jtag Preferences- Best way to Jtag - Any New Updates or Tips?

    I'm looking at doing three systems and wondering if i should do them old school and make my own cables or get a nand-x.

    I have no problem soldering things and have the components to make a cable on my own.

    Any recommendations on which way to go and is there any tips that might help.

    I would recommend the nand-x dump,read,write the nand in under a minute.And a lpt cable would take about 40 minutes ect

    Easiest way is to use TX products such as the Nand-X. Cheapest way is to make your own cables.

    I prefer using TX products as they just work and the support is top notch.
    I'm only smart cause I did it every wrong way already.

    Pro Jtag/RGH/R-JTAG installs; SLIM DVD key retrieval/LTU flashing; Drive flashing

    If you followed a half-assed way to back up your XGD3 game disc, you deserve all the trouble you're getting.

    Mate i have done a slim with all my own cables i even built the lpt coolrunner programmer cable my self and all worked great i use a usb nand programmer i scored of ebay for about $15 and the coolrunner was off ebay aswell which cost me $16 and the slim boots within 3-4 seconds %99 of the time.

    It can be done. Just depends on your expertise level and amount of money you're willing to spend.
