burner max is something you flash your iHAS drives (pc based) to burn the full 100% of a XGD3 game (because normally you can't burn the full .iso to a dual layer disc since it's bigger than the default allowed space on the disc)

AP2.5/XGD affects your games depending on how recent your dashboard version is and based on how most games force you to update to play it means you will not be able to play the saod AP2,5/XGD3 games on new dashboards if you have not run them through abgx360 to patch them before burning

No idea what other abbreviations you are on about though

Okay so if i play on the latest dashboard then im playing on the latest version of AP/XGD? And what do you mean by saod?

The latest fw for your specific drive is lt+ 3.0

So if you have that and the latest dash you'll be able to play all XGD2 and XGD3 titles.

BUT, be sure that these ap25/XGD3 titles have been run trough latest abgx (1.06) before burning and playing.

So probably most of your backups you have now already burned won't play on lt-+ 3.0

Ok but i don't have any backups yet i haven't started burning games still waiting for my unlocked replacment PCB to come in the mail but one last question im on a mac and i heard to get full protection from burned games i will need ixtreme burn max so could i put that firmware on the right lighton drive using windows then use it to burn games on a mac?

Yeah that should work on your Mac. But if I'm wrong I'm sure some other member will correct this.
