Pre Dash 13599 and Post Dash 13599

Hi! i'm kinda confused, my sister bought an Xbox360slim 4GB Kinect, I believe I have Lite-On drive base on JF tutorial drive tray look, and my dashboard version is 13599, I haven't updated online, or connected to xbox live, can I flash this? Is my Xbox a Pre Dash 13599 or Post Dash? Thanks in advance.

So extra equipment is required to flash it? like X360usb etc.

The first thing you have to do is to identify which drive you have. If it is a LiteOn then you must check which chipset you have inside: MXIC or Winbond. Then you will know for sure what tools you will need to flash your drive.

there arent many slims that dont require an x360usbpro to flash though, so be prepared for that. Otherwise, as nuno said, you need to look at which chipset you have before figureing out the next course of action.
