Can i update a xbox 360 slim 250gb with spoofed(key) samsung drive form fat console ?
Actually i had a phat xbox 360 console,the original drive was lite-on but was replaced by samsung.So i could not play any AP2.5/XGD3 games,so i went and bought a slim 250gb with lite-on 9504 dvd drive.Now i want to update the slim to the newest dashboard through usb drive but i have heard that updating will lock the spi on the drive and will make the drive write-protected so my question is can i use the samsung drive(stock firmware) with only spoofed key of lite-on 9504 to update the slim so that my drive remains unlocked and can flash to LT+2.0 to play all new games.I have dummy.bin and all the other files P.S.I don't use live.

I updated the fat console using samsung drive with osig not spoofed and only with spoofed key of lite-on to 2.0.13604.0 without any problems.

i get ya, but the slim WONT update with a sammy drive in it, you can try it though... let us know how you get on...

Sorry to bring back an old thread but I was wondering. You said that you had a non drive spoofed only key spoofed Samsung in your xbox 360 which originally had a liteon. Did AP 2.5 games work for you? The OP said it didn't work but I don't know if he was fully spoofed to liteon or if his drive was just key spoofed.

This will never work because a Samsung drive can not do ap2.5 and the slim will be looking for this check. I suggest you take your RROD Xbox and get it reflowed. Should cost you about $30. You can also try superheating the processor and that will bring it back to life, but it might only work for a little while if you use this method.
