Liteon DG-16D4S unlocked pcb board not working.

so i had a accedent on my 0225 board soldering off a few meters. so i had to order a new board and why not a unlocked one so i wouldnt make the same mistake twice. so i get it in and connect all the color wires absolutely right and tight. Then all the ribbon cables. then i plug into my maximus and no power. the drive isnt reconized and no eject. i have every wire connect tight and right, the only thing was that little black rubber square that came with the board, i didnt know what to do with that.

That black rubber thing goes on top of the dvd IC chip. It's the biggest chip on that board I think, the one right above the colored wires. As for the no power, I have no idea, I'm waiting on mine. Hope someone else can help you.
Edit: did you strip the colored wires before plugging it into the plug that came with it? You can't just straight up plug it in, gotta strip it first.

yeah, if its blank it wont show up or eject, sure you have to send the liteon erase command even though its undetected.

i have just done mine, i had all the same problems,
