Germia UnlockSPI.exe Error

Hi All

I have a LiteOn Slim 0225 connected to my VIA 6421 PCI Sata Card and im running UnlockSPI.exe DF00 (IO Port address) at the command prompt but receiving this continues error message:

WinIO initialiszed and running
ATA Timeout, Status 51
Waiting for drive repower

This goes on and on automatically and if i power off the drive i get

WinIO initialiszed and running
ATA Timeout, Status 80
Waiting for drive repower

This will pause like this until i power on then i get the 1st message again pouring down the screen.

Anyone know how to fix this or know where im going wrong. Keen to try this app out to do slim unlocks.

The VIA SATA 6421 card has issues getting the 0225 into vendor mode matey. iv had the same problem. only way i could was to probe mpx01 while power cycling on jungleflasher. i dont know if it works the same on unlockspi.exe though matey

So i connect to VIA6421, load Jungleflasher probe mpx01 with probe 3 then what do i press in JF exactly man.

I did it

I used 360USB then got

WinIO initialiszed and running
ATA Timeout, Status D0
Waiting for drive repower

I then removed 360USB and plugged in VIA6241 and it went into vendor mode.

Ive done my sound test and now it says do what you have to do NOW! Im using dremel so i've stopped for a breather.

Everything work backups booting fine.

This was my 6th attemp i have tried soldering iron, dremel drill, xacto knife, box cutter knife and tonight i used this tool

KINCROME ENGRAVER (Brand new) | eBay

I found it simple to use, Light, 2 AA batteries and does not spin supwer fast to stop digging too deep. For all those wandering with tehe knife it was going to way to deep. now that this method has worked for me i can see that you dont have to go deep at all. Just take the surface off.

I also used Germia UnlockSPI.exe over JungleFlasher but im sure JF would of done the trick too. Ill use JF next slim.
