Can you post your JF log? Did you unplug the laser ribbon before flashing?
i recently bricked my lite on 93450c during the flash process and have become too frustrated to try and fix the drive (trace cuts). I was able to obtain the key drive before hand though.
I went ahead and bought a 74850c off ebay as the replacement because of its easier flashing process and my experience with this drive type before.
I used jungle flasher and loaded the original stock fw of the 93450c to the source and then loaded the latest lt+ firmware for 74850c as the target and spoofed the key over.
the write process went fine and verified everything.
THE PROBLEM IS: now when i connect the drive back to the unit i can open tray and close tray fine, but the unit never reads original games or backups. The dashboard will say reading for a few seconds then shows open tray?
I went ahead and "liteon erased" everything and tried again, only this time loading the "cracked" or non stock firmware (lt+ 93450c) that i originally loaded onto the 93450c before giving up on it.
the result was the same problem as above.
Not sure if i missed anything during the write process or even the dump process from the original 93450c but i would definitely like some advice on what i can do to get this 74850c working in place of the bricked unit...
Thanks guys.

Drive is Lite-On..
oh and i DID NOT unplug the "laser ribbon" before flashing
ok so this problem is your laser, nothing to do with your firmware, i had the "open tray error" on my liteon.
does your dvd make a grinding ticking sound when trying to read a dvd?
what i did was :
open up dvd drive 4 screws, and applied machine oil to the 2 runner bars that the laser moves on, also you will notice that your laser will be sitting on the outside of the spindle, push the laser by hand into the middle, as close to the centre as possible, reassemble and try again, this worked for me, because the laser was stuck on the outside of the dvd, and when a dvd boots up it needs to read the centre of the dvd.
hope you can understand this, and i hope it helps![]()
big ups to tim scott man! everythings working awesome!
the laser for whatever reason was out of place, must have happened during shipping. I just had to push it back to the middle of the tray and voilą!
thanks everyone!
