Thread: Flashing/Updates

No theres no way to flash using the xbox 360's usb port, buy a USB PRO so that you can flash your dvd drive by usb (it connects your DVD Drive via USB on your PC/Laptop).

the quickest way is to get either a Compatible chipset PC (Both mine are) takes 2 mins at most start to finish! or get the usbpro thing if you intend to use a laptop!!

I know you couldn't flash through a usb port on the xbox lol...anywho, I have a compatible chipset...i also have a pci sata card thats compatible as well....I just didn't know if the usb360 or whatever its called is worth buying.

You will need an X360USB Pro V1 or V2 for ripping your backups.

You need CKi or a USB PRO V2 to power the drive anyway, dont power your drive using the xbox you get a flag

You'll get a no-dvd drive flag if you use a 360 for power (at the moment a low level harmless flag) and if you have a drive with 0800 FW on it then any sata USB caddy will work and be picked up by your system. If your chipset is compatible then just keep that! The usbpro isn't cheap! And I can strip flash and put a phat back together in 15 mins tops, just practice mate!
