certain XGD 3 games work, most do not

Hello everyone, I have 2 consoles. An offline only benq which has lt 3.0 and an online liteon with 3.0. A few weeks ago I upgraded the liteon to 3.0 and I was playing arkham city fine. Then the second time i played it, I did the in game update for 8mb (title update). And now the game does not work. I reflashed back to 3.0 and it still does not work. Ghost Recon which is XGD 3 works fine, Forza 4 works fine, but Ninja Gaiden 3 does not work. Same thing with the offline only benq. This is frustrating, i Just want to know why some games work and some do not.

Please understand that I am new to this and I just would really appreciate some answers... Thanks

If I had to make a guess it would be bad media or bad burns. Do they install to HDD okay? Did you run the backups through abgx before burning?

Thanks Kindred but sadly they don't work even if installed to the hdd. No I didn't check through abgx. And they were burned on verbatims only. Any other thoughts? Thanks

Abgx is definitely part of the problem.

Being that the games u mention r XGD3, did u burn them in a LITEON IHAS"B" DL BURNER that has been flashed with Burner Max Firmware?

Run the disc through ABGX and run the disc through KProbe too. Probably just a bad burn.

Thanks again guys. Respectfully, I can't see how these XGD3 discs are bad burns because they used to work in October when they came out (batman, nba 2k12, halo 1 anniversary, saints row 3. I don't think a bad burn would have worked back then. Thanks

Might sound like a stupid question but has the got more scratches than it did when it worked before? Try what i said before there no harm in trying that could be just it.

Discs are in great conditoon with no scratchesI do not have the equipment to check or reburn the media. I am using a Mac laptop with stock DVD dl and I don't work windows. Any other suggestions?

How did you make a backup copy of your original if you don't have the equipment to check or reburn media?

I don't have a pc anymore. Only a Mac and that's why I can't check anything out
