Hey guys, I managed to flash my lite-on drive recently. I also have a samsung drive from a rrod console. Is it possible to use it as a ripping drive? And I want to rip xdg3 games as well. Is this possible? I'm willing to do any patching necessary.
Thanks.

Will it be able to read a xdg3 disc completely? From what I've read only Liteon and Benq can be use for xdg3 and Samsung is only xdg2. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
no matey to rip xgd3 you need 0800 v3 which has only been released for liteon and benq
But the sammy is still ok so long as you use ABGX to automatically patch the missing data to the rip!

I can ONLY flash PHAT 360 drives !!!!!!!!

So I would just run it through ABGX to patch that?
EDIT: Scratch that, it works fine!
I flashed my Sammy to it's latest ripping f/w and popped in MW3 (both AP25 and XDG3) as a test. I ripped it with Xbox Backup Creator, which told me that my drive won't ripped AP25/XDG3. I continued, and it ripped to a full 8.13 gb (MW3's size). When I ran it through ABGX the first time, it was very bad, red and yellow everywhere. However it appeared that it installed the topology data and XDG3 patches. After it finished I ran it again. ALL GREEN! It is possible!

A Sammy will do just fine mate, ABGX sorts out any missing ap 2.5 and topology data. Works for me anyway.
