So just so I get this straight, when I want to start using backups on LT3.0 I need to flash my lighton burner and then just use the same method with abgx and imgburn?

To make sure we have clarity, the Lite-On in your console is not the same Lite-On we refer to for burning. That Lite-On is the iHAS burner. If you have an iHAS, you will need to flash it with Burner Max and then proceed with tweaking it for burn quality. However, there are a multitude of threads on that, so you'll need to read up and test burns before doing anything.

Just to pick up on burning if you do go to 3.0, I can get working backups on AOne gold disks just by setting all the advanced options to enabled! If I try it with them disabled they don't work.

After flashing burner Max, can I still use the drive for other burning tasks?
