Thread: Jungleflasher not sensing my Liteon drive

your sata chip may not be compatable
i recommend you get a via6421sata card (once installed delete "viamraid" from system/drivers)
then install portio32 or 64 depending on your system
this will stop jungleflasher from crashing during liteon erase
or if you want to spend a bit more, you could get the x360usbproV1 or V2 which has ck3 built in,
also are you using a ck3 and probe 3?, you will need them for liteon phat key extract

Are you sure my motherboard is not compatible? How do I make sure? Also if it had been incompatible wouldn't it not show my Liteon in the bios when I booted my computer?

if it doesnt then its not

compatiblity isnt just whether the drive shows up in jf or bios, its if you are able to read and write to the drive. take my 0272 drive and the via card for example, its detected by jf and i can write the fw with it but i cant get a dump of the key and have problems getting it into vendor mode. therefore it is deemed incompatible.

what sata chipset do you have, just out of curiosity?

i wouldn`t worry too much, via6421 sata cards are only £5-£10 max on ebay

Still nobody has replied about how to find what Sata chipset I have! Also I found this eBay item that is a via 6421 chipset will someone tell me if it will work for my Liteon thanks!
