Hi everyone. I have a hitachi 47 drive in my xbox 360 flashed with LT +2.0. My dashboard version is 2.0.14699.0
I don't have any problems with playing xgd2 games. But i can't play xgd3 games. I have wasted lots of discs. Please help me.
Are you burning them w/an IHAS, and doing a full burn to a high quality disc (IE, verbatim?) If not, i'd try doing that first, otherwise you're going to encounter that problem left and right.
what do you mean by cant play, what type of error are you getting? "cant play" is a bit vague but as maelstrom says you will need an ihas as 2.0 for 32-59s DOES NOT support truncation
can't play means; i can't open the game. it gives an error like "unsupported disk" or "disk unreadable". I use Verbatim MKM003 disks. I always check the backups with abgx360 and i don't burn the isos using a liteon ixtreme burner max drive.
jamesyboiii, you said that my drive doesn't support truncation. do i need to burn them by selecting the overburn option or did you mentioned another thing?
He means that you should burn the discs with a burner max modified ihas drive. If not, the burn will be truncated which your hitachi doesn't support.
If you are being asked to "overburn or truncate" your PC either does not have an IHAS (or crossflashable drive) or it is not properly flashed/configured.
As said before - Your drive will not support truncated burns (and none really do fully), and getting that type of burner is the only way to play XGD3 backups on your console from disc.
thanks for the advices. So i need a drive which is flashable with ixtreme burner max firmware to play burnt games with my hitachi drive. One more question; Does the same problem(the situation that the truncated games don't start) continue with the other drives or is it a problem that only happens with hitachi drives?
Only the hitachi drives blatantly do not support truncated burns. The others "support" them, but it will be hit or miss. And all it takes is one silent dae.bin update, and those burns may not work either.
Buy yourself an IHAS/Compatible drive, spend the 30$ or whatever they cost now, and save yourself buying a new console when this one gets banned.
