Stupid question on Benq

I have flashed many drives, but this one is a pain!

I have here a phat 360 updated with the latest dash, and I was provided 2 drives-the one in the xbox and a new drive. Both are BenQ. I have used JungleFlasher, clicked BenQ Unlock, read the fw file, saved it to the desktop. I chose to auto load LT and it tried to auto load 1.1. I manually selected 04421c 3.0, spoofed the key, then write firmware. All seems okay except it won't boot XGD3 games.

On the dashboard it shows play game with no game picture. I click play game and it goes to a black screen, disconnects from xbox live, and boots me back to the dashboard/home screen.

I have been flashing this drive all day, and even grabbed another brand new benq and ended with the same result.

What I think is that when the dashboard got updated, somehow the drive itself didn't. So I don't know how to remedy this situation. It's so frustrating! And yes, it is a retail version of Gears Of War 3 that I'm using, having this problem. Please help!

have you repatched
and reburned your discs with a ihas burner?,
you also need ixtreme burner max firmware and singapore verbatim discs
do originals still work?

Have you tried flashing the drive back to stock to ensure that it works that way? If I was troubleshooting this, I'd first flash the drive to stock then make sure everything is as up-to-date as possible. Once I'd eliminated that, then go back to LT+3.0

However what is odd that you say JF is autoloading an old firmware, what version of JF are you using? Have you downloaded the latest CFW pack and dropped the files in the appropriate JF folder?

also i too meant to ask if you are using jungleflasher 192?

Yes, I do have the latest ixtreme pack for 3.0 in the appropriate folders, and I'm using Jungleflasher 192b. I have tried stock firmware also, and get the same result. Thanks for the replies, but there must be something I have not tried

What I don't read is the answer on jayce's first reply/question? Did you rerun abgx and reburn them with an Ihas?

He's saying that he's experiencing the problem with an original GOW3 disc, so that would rule out abgx and burning, otherwise I would have asked that too.

Isn't that his dash may not have been updated past a specific dash to where jungle flasher auto loads 1.1

Just checked jf states if flashing from pre13146 it will auto load 1.1, he may have flashed using incorrect folder.

I think somehow (since the dash is the latest version and I can connect to live) that the drive itself did not get updated with the dashboard update. The original OFW firmware file that I read is for BenQ VAD6038 64930C, but LT+3.0 is for BenQ VAD6038 04421C. When the dashboard gets an update through MS it flashes the BenQ firmware from 64930C to 04421C. I have tried to just manually put stock firmware with the original drive key to 04421C stock, but even that is not working. I do appreciate all the help!

I think i got ur number on this one. You may have flashed to stock using pre and not post folder for ur drive.
