need answers before doing any thing

hi i have an xbox that have been already flashed to ixtreme 1.6 ( as most of us ) ..but i didn't flashed it ...i paid someone to do it as i didn't want to buy CK3 kit for one time flashing

- now i have the key ...and i dont want to keep paying for something people say it is easy

here is the questions :
1- after opening the xbox how do i connect to PC ?? via a normal sata cable or there is a special type ??

2- what is PortIO32 ?? and what is SATA VIA card ???
3- i have win xp/7 which is better and what i need for both ??

BTW i have sata on board and win xp ... any precaution i should do ??

i have read the jungle flasher tutorial ...its great by the way
here is my answer to the 1st question

1- power on pc - connect sata to the drive - press eject to open tray then eject to close and remove dvd power cable before fully closing ...then connect it again
in the previous step after connecting again ... do i have to turn it on ??

You just need a sata cord, to attach your drive, to your motherboard.

And yes, winsows 7 will work with jungle flasher.

It basically replaces the VIA driver you remove if you use a VIA 6421 card. The latest version of JungleFlasher has it built in so there's no need to install it.

do i need to reflash the stock firmware the flash it with the light touch ( read that somewhere )

or just press spoof source to target ... like updating from 1.6 to 1.61 ???

sorry for that but all videos out there are for updating 1.5 to 1.6 or 1.6 to 1.61 .... but nothing for the LT
thats why iam confused

my understanding is... if you have all the latest updates on your console... you can flash to lt from ix1.* ... but if not.. if you have been offline for a while... spoof and flash the stock fw.. do the updates from live.. or game disc.. then flash lt.

I guess it will never hurt to put stock on there anyways... I did.. and I had all updates. I'm running smooth now... happy as a pig in s**t .. as they say.

i tried but the drive couldnt be recognised ... neither on windows no jumgle flasher
tried many times but no result
so i will try again today on windows 7

Are you using Windows 7 x64? If so, there's some extra steps you need to follow, read the JungleFlasher tutorial mate.
