Well the only way you could of fried the drive is by inserting the power cable upside down. Jungleflasher should allow you to manually spoof the BenQ drive, read the new tut for JF and you should be good to go.

think i might of done it upside down.(out of hundreds of flashes never have done this,) i am using JF 1.91 is there a newer jf manual. keeps saying that its not benq fw and aborting the flash.

I'm not sure if theres a newer tut after 1.91 but have a look on JF site. Are you using Jungle Flasher V0.1.91 beta (300)?. It sounds like the version you have is one that can't recognize the FW. are you flashing the BenQ to Hitatchi via stock FW?.

I have looked in to this problem and from what I can tell... You obviously need to extract the key from the Hitachi 59 drive. If you have a 79 console though you shouldn't be spoofing the BenQ to a Hitachi using the BenQ LT 3.0 FW as the 78/79 Hitachi drives havn't even been given LT 3.0 as of yet. Flash the BenQ using the LT 2.0 FW.

So in steps:

1. Extract key from hitatchi

2. Inject that key manually into the BenQ drive

3. Use the BenQ LT 2.0 to flash to your BenQ drive

4. Try this and if it doesn't work then it just clearly isn't working manually spoofing.

Just a little reminder though if you didn't know, It's highly recommended you don't manually spoof drives as another drive as it's highly risk taking.

Sorry, I didn't mean to double post.

Just put the Hitachi key onto the benq without spoofing it as anything else. It should still work and keep the hitachi for updating even if it is fried..

just got home. will try(nightdex). i have all original keys. yep JF 1.91 beta (300)
as the risk i dont care its a offline console anyways(its for my son and grandma for when he is over there.)

Just thought I should add that you are fine using LT3.0 in a Benq drive as long as you dont spoof. Ms can see if its the wrong drive and as long as you dont spoof (trying to hide the fact you changed drives) and the new drive you use supports AP2.5 (if the old drive did) then you are good to go and they leave you alone currently.

LT2.0 and LT3.0 will respond in the exact same way accept for up-to-date AP2.5 games wont boot on LT2.0 but they will on LT3.0.

In summery the Benq drive running LT3.0 will respond to any xbox (regardless of old version) just the same as a stock Benq drive.
