Try as I might, I cannot get Jungleflasher to detect my Lite On drive. Here's what I have done so far:
Switched SATA mode from AHCI to IDE
Booted Windows 7 x64 with driver signing disabled
Turned on Lite On DG16D2S drive, using Xecuter CK3 Lite and probe 3, all lights come on
Load up Jungleflasher 1.85b in Administrator mode, portio64 driver loads.
Cannot find my lite on drive in the DVDKey 32 tab after refreshing, with or without "Include non-IDE Ports" checked. I only see "No Drive Detected!" or my other drives (HDD, SSD, DVDRW, etc).
I tried connecting the drive to the Marvel SATA controller which is also on board. No dice there either.
This leaves me wondering, is the Intel Z68 chipset supported yet? Do I need to buy a VIA PCI card?
you need to get the via card or the x360usb pro...i recommend the ladder personally.
I would try using Jungleflasher 1.84 first and if your drive still doesn't show up then consider getting the via 6421 card or X360 Usb Pro like ComputerGeek said.
Since you are running Windows 7 x 64 bit, either one will benefit you but keep in mind that the via card doesn't work in express pci slots.
If I flash my Xbox 360, does that mean it can run Adobe Flash Player?
I don't always burn backups but when I do, I use verbatims. Stop truncating my friends. .
Got it working with the help of those on the IRC!
I needed to:
1: Connect the drive to SATA port 0 on the primary controller.
2: Boot the computer with the drive powered on. JF wouldn't see the drive until I did this.
After that I was able to extract the key. Now the drive is all flashed and working.
On another note, the Marvel controller might have also worked. I didn't realize until after I had got the drive flashed that the controller was disabled in the BIOS. I thought I enabled it, but apparently not. That would have been nice as I wouldn't have had to play around with Windows to get it booting in IDE mode, but I'm just glad I got the drive flashed and working.
I was close to buying that via6421 sata card until I came across this. I unplugged all my other ports, ensured that the drive was ejected and turned on before I booted up my computer and it showed up in jungled flasher for me. Also ensure that you have the sata ports set to IDE in the bios.
... and to do that I change registry with:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
;Created by Vishal Gupta for AskVG.com
after change registry,
reboot, press DEL or [F2] (enter BIOS), locate SATA options
change to IDE mode
booting ... windows 7 will auto install IDE new drivers
remember ... all steps of JungleFlasher v0.1.87 tutorial need to be fallow
XBOX360 Jasper, Lite-On, 83580c v1, LT+ 2.0 to LT+ 3.0
Windows 7 64bits
Chipset Z77 - MOBO: Asus P8Z77-V LX, with i7 3700
i changed of AHCI to IDE, may be SATA work too.
