No, it needs to be a 124b,224b,324b,424b,524b or 624b

could anyone please help me just purchased a Liteon iHAS324-32B maunfactured july 2011 (says on box ) followed the tutorial word for word to update firmware to iHAS-324B-AL1B-MKM001MKM003-final click on write flash and keeps coming up error writing flash to drive i used the program EEPROM_Utility first as it said in tutorial and it says f:atapi ihas324 b alib 2011/09/06 15:01 if that helps any advice would be appreciated .

Disable AHCI in BIOS and switch to IDE

Just like to share with you a fix if you're going through disc after disc and can't figure out whats wrong.

This was kindly provided to me by a member of team-xecuter. After some brain storming we discovered this;

there is one last thing you can try..

1) open imgburn
2) on the top bar click tools->settings
3) click on the I/O tab
4) change SPTI - Microsoft to ElbyCDIO - Elaborate Bytes

Instant fix for me. I've checked all my (good) burned discs with kprobe2 and the profiles are excellent.

in imgburn iput 2.4 speed but i says : "Write Speed Miscompare wanted 2.4x getting 4x" (Liteon iHAS124B)
using memorex dvddl, burns 100% but at all games i try fail at verification 49%....so my counsle is funny only read game good at 2.4x when i burn. so i need 2.4x cause 4x wont work so i tryed this

1. i used to try and burn my games at 2.4x but it wouldnt work so i did this...

This is to only make your drive able to burn at 2.4x if you are burning at 2.4x then no need for this!

-download "media code speed edit"
-open it up then click load at the top and find the firmware for what drive you have (the iXtreme Burner Max firmware you used to flash your drive)
-find "Disc ID"(mine was RITEK-S04-66. using memorex dvddl) the write speeds should be "4x,6x,8x" double click it and then find the "Disk id closest to yours"mine was RITEK-S01 forgot it was the only ritek one that said 2.4 with the write speed only set at "2.4x" and replace it save it to your desktop and then reflash your drive and it should work
it verifies 100 percent!!


NOTE: find out your disc media first (from img burn) then switch the write speeds from the above steps
