Succesfully flashed BenQ to 1.7, now need to update?

Postby lowlander » Wed Mar 10, 2010 3:05 pm

Just succesfully updated my BenQ from 1.61 to 1.7 via this tut:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KY_CJNme ... re=related

Now I used a backup from a wave4 game and it says "An update must be applied to your console to play this game"

Do I need it? Yes, goes nothing else can be done.
But how? Never played on xbox live.
Where to download these updates?

Lowlander ... have you updated from 1.61 to 1.7 LT on the BenQ, or is there another 1.7 out there?

I'm just about to do 1.61 to 1.7 LT on my BenQ BUT want to make doubly sure that its the same as the video tutorial that you mentioned.

Thanks

Double checking is always good.

I updated my BenQ from 1.61 to 1.7 LT (the one published on march the 5th 2010) which can be downloaded via:
lt-lite-touch-download/ixtreme-lite-touch-t2485.html

1. Connect xbox to sata card
2. xbox on + pc on
3. open dvddrive half way
4. power xbox off
5. open jungleflasher (newest, can be found here: http://jungleflasher.net/downloads.html)
6. power on xbox, hold dvdtray halfway
7. go to MTK Flash 32 tab
8. find your benq in the I/O port list
9. click BenQ unlock
10. click intro/device ID
11. click read
12. save that file
13. automatically a popupscreen opens to install the newest LT FW.
click yes (you need to have that new firmware in the firmware folder)
click write (block 1 etc etc etc).

done.

after that i needed to update my system (never did that).
just downloaded the new software from xbox.com
burned on a normal CD, booted the xbox with it and it installed as a charm.

Happily playing all the wave4 games now.
