Hmmm. I saw this too on their twitter page. Why would they release 1.61 instead of LT? Something just doesn't seem right to me. Maybe they can't get LT working like they wanted it to, and instead are just going forward with the current ixtreme firmwares.

It's really strange to release an old firmeware instead of the new one, so I would guess that LT is a myth now.

I just flashed mine with ix161-748.bin and all is good for me. No more activation.iso disk needed...as for Live....I don't use it so guess I'm ok

In rar are attached bins to 838v2 and 934. So how to flash these two drives?

If i were a betting man is say the firmware they were working on crashed and burned.
Id also say that this re-release is or could possibly be from the improvements they were making in the new FW i.e. wave 4/5 and possibly more.
No reason to rebadge it to something newer as to make ppl think its a new/safe release.
I see alot of "wheres X at" on the forums around.Given a "good" test cycle id say when X gets done then it will take 3 months or so of testing at least.Bans arent instant alot of the time if it is its more than likely because of ignorance on the users part.

There's a new wave in town, the 6th. The first game to come out with it, is Army of TWO: the 40th day. The Iex.Lite On 1.61 is playing that wave without any problems. This is expected ?
