I'm trying to flash a Hitachi Rev 59, with JF162, ix151 on XP 32bit, nforce 4 chipset.

Following the tutorial, all goes up to and including setting mode B, but when I try to Dump Drive using Mode Select, JF replies with "UnLock Failed".

I did manage to dump it successfully in classic mode, but then when I tried to Flash iXtreme in RAM Upload mode, JF replies again with UnLock Failed. Any ideas?

Edit: I'm trying to write using WinAPI, since the "Use PortIO" radio is greyed out for me. PortIO is definitely installed, so how can I enable this button and try that?

You know, you could always use the Slax CD, use that to put it in mode-b, then continue to use JF to flash it.
