re flashing

Postby mickash01 » Thu Mar 26, 2009 4:03 pm

hi all,

i flashed my benq drive using iprep v08.6-beta, and using ixtreme 1.5, it worked superb.

however, i have just got tom clancy H.A.W.X and it will not boot,

after reading up on the issue, i have found that it has something new called "wave 3" or something like that. and further reading has got me thinking that if i flash my drive u :D t to ixtreme 1.51 it may run these "wave 3" games,

how does the process work for upgrading the firmware from 1.5 to 1.51,

thanks for your help!!

Hey, you can go about it two ways, You can use Dosflash or JungleFlasher. Both are done in the Windows Gui mode.

the dosflash tut here, is for stock benq's, but using dosflash, it's the same process.

Heres a link to the jungelflasher tut, scroll down to pg. 36 in the pdf.

i can;t seem to find the instructions to "re-flash" is it the same process as before where i put the serial number of my xbox in, or do i have to flash back to my original stock firmware and flash it as if it was the first time??

You can use iprep if you want. No, you don't have to go back to the stock, you can go straight from 1.5 to 1.51.

However, I haven't used iprep successfully, that's why I haven't added any tutorials on it.

ok,

the link for the pdf to flash is marvelous, but i'm not sure how it would work to dump the ixtreme 1.5 fw then write the 1.51 fw, do you have a tutorial link to do this??
also i have an asus p5n-e motherboard which has an Nforce chipset so this is ok, problem is i'm running vista x64, has there been any issues running jungleflasher in a 64 bit environment??

thanks for your help!!

anyone know whe fight night round 4 is due for release???

Yeah, their is a problem. Jungleflasher is not compatible with Vista 64. You'd be better off finding a box that has XP on it.
