What should I do???

I have a liteon 74850c flashed with ix1.51. I've tried flashing it with 1.6 repack and the recently released 1.61, but afterwards my drive can't read anything, even originals. Just goes to 'Play DVD'.

The write was successful as verified by the jungleflasher. I flash it back to ix1.51, and the drive works fine. Are there any issues with ix1.6 I need to be aware of? Any extra steps that need to be taken when flashing with 1.6?

Did'nt know that 1.61 exsisted for the liteon, unless ive missed somthing.

Yeah, ixtreme 1.61 for the liteon was released earlier this week. Just adds wave 4 and wave 5 support, so you don't have to use the activate.iso disc any more.

I've used dosflash16(v1.7) to fix a similar liteon.

1st I used JF to make my FW,dummy.bin as source,Liteon 1.6 as target.
Spoof to target,save as file(rename to YOURNAME.bin).
Reload dummy.bin(source) YOURNAME.bin(target) into JF.Now check the keys match & YOURNAME.bin says Liteon ixtreme1.6 X12 etc.

2nd thing to do is make a bootable usb.
Make a folder on usb named DOS.
Into the dos folder add:
Dosflash16.exe
Dosflash16.typ
firmtool(1.6).exe
L-O-Eras
Yourname.bin

hi i just flashed a lite on with jf 1.70 and iextreme 1.6 i did it step by step after it said it was done i put it back together hooked it up put a disc in it said to play this disc put it in a 360 console.so i went back to jf and tried to flash it again thats when it happened i lost my drive all together,so i did some research i need to boot from dos did the setup step by step when i go to boot up it says hardware initiate failure bios does not installed been workin on for days cant figure it out can anyone help or point me in right direction to see what ive done and can it be fixed?
