Has anyone heard any word yet on which video formats the PS4 would support? Wondering if the ps4 would natively support MKV formats? Long shot right?

It's a no. From launch there will be no DLNA, video player, mkv or anything but Bluray discs.

Don't forget, a promise to look into these things in the future. Lame.
