  • Loads of questions about XBOX Backup Creator

    Hello,

I have a lot of questions about using XBOX Backup Creator.

Now, through research, I have discovered that I need an XBOX360 DVD drive to rip the games as well as the software, which is called XBOX Backup Creator, and the 0800 firmware. What I want to know are as follows:

    1. Can I use the XBOX360 drive for general PC use?

    2. Are the XBOX360 drive and the 0800 firmware all that I need?

    3. Where can I get a good deal for the drive that is flashed with the 0800 firmware? I've seen some over this page: XBOX360 DVD Drive | eBay

    Anything better?

    Thanks.

I recommend getting your hands on an x360usb pro v2, as it allows you to use any OEM 360 drive (minus Liteon D5S) to rip games without 0800 fw.

Xecuter X360USB Pro. Connect all Xbox 360 DVD Drives via USB to your PC or Laptop.

NOT "ANY" OEM xbox drive will work with x360usbprov2
          d5s drives will not work
d5s support was promised but never arrived mainly due to the fact getting the key was a pita in the end.
It was first thought that key dumping from drive was possible but it was aes key not dvd key that c4 retrieved
hence the need for rgh and the dropping of d5s support "coming soon".
anything I say is copy and pasted from the jungleflasher tutorial.
