Hi, i have just bought a 120gb hardrive from a friend, it's basically new as he hardly ever played his xbox,(and is now selling it this is why he sold me the hardrive). Anyway back to the point, i tried installing army of two the 40th day backup(on verbatim DL+R) to it and it stops at 42% EVERY time, i do not know why as this is the first time the disc has ever been put in my console and it has absolutely no scratches. I cannot install the original game as it is scratched to hell I installed a halo 3 retail disc to test if the hardrive was working and it installed perfectly. My point is, can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Hi, don't worry about this post, the games were bad backups, which i could play for about 5 mins (from disc) then they would freeze, i would just like to know whether this would cause me problems when i join xbox live as i'm worried about hardrive crippling.
