Ok im brand new to rly this modding my friend modded my 360 for me but i recently got banned (dmn u mircosoft)so i wanted to know how this all works bc my friend is heading off to college and i dnt wanna wait for him to come back to not only update my 360 but also to supply me my games

Q1. What firmware am I using if I can play wave 3 games but not wave 4? Is it 1.6?

Q2. If it is 1.6 can someone post a link to a tutorial for updating 1.6 to 1.61?

You will have 1.51 or 1.6 its simple to upgrade, what drive do have?

do i have to use the CK3 Connectivity kit ? what happens if i don't ? does it make me more vulnerable to being banned ?

This is quite an old post so don't listen to most of it cos its out of date (see the date for each post) what else were you planning to use? and no it does not make you more vulnerable, though we are about 1 week from new firmware so best waiting for that due to bannings from xbox live

not to sure what to use i read the process of doing it without the ck3 and wasnt sure if i need it or not cause there was another process that uses it. Ok, So i made an account just to ask this question. I've been using a modded Xbox (ixtreme 1.6) for a while now, but this is the first time that I'm going to burn a game myself so.... I already have the Wave 4 activate.iso, and have played wave 4 games like MW2 and Assassins Creed 2, etc. But to play Wave 3 games, like FIFA 10, do I need to patch the iso that i download first or should i just burn the image to the disk, given that I'm running ixtreme 1.6...?

I think it sounds a little confusing, and I'm kind of new at this, although I am very technologically literate. Basically, do I need to patch the iso for a Wave 3 game before I burn the image if I have ixtreme 1.6..?

I got few questions to ask.

Is it safe to play ORIGINAL games on xbox live with old modified firmware?(If I buy an xbox360 and modify the firmware with the latests iXtreme, do I have to keep up with the updates?)

Can MS flag you for ban if you update the Dashboard via USB (full update), and then connect to Live at a later date? Or are the flags only for updates downloaded via Live?

Also, has there ever been a Dashboard update that banned you without having you connect to Live?
