    FSD 2.2 Emulators Tutorial??

    Hello Everybody,

So I want to play for example Mario Kart 64 (from Nintendo 64 obviously) and download the rom "Mario Kart 64.v64", put the file into the "Emulators" folder which is pathed from the content settings to load the emulators and nothing really happens.

I'm running Freestyle Dash 2.2 and this method works perfectly for the Xbox 360 games for example, but I'm just missing something to play this roms, I've looked for many tutorials and whatever I found was just not helpful.

My guess is that in order to run the rom I need an emulator in the "Emulators" folder and then the rom in another folder, for example, what Im doing is:

    - Usb:/Emulators/Mario Kart/Mario Kart 64.v64
What it should be based in my logic:
    - Usb:/Emulators/Nintendo 64 Emulator(This folder contains the emulator which it should be a .xex file)/Mario Kart/Mario Kart 64.v64

Am I right??, If I am, please suggest the best emulators for SNES and N64 running for the Xbox 360.

    Thanks in Advance!!

i love emulators, but not got round to doing the 360 yet, pc`s still way better for emu`s
but as soon as i get rgh2 i`ll be right on it
at the moment it`s still early days for 360 emu`s
but there is mupen64, snes9x360, and a decent ps1 emu, plus a few others
but i expect much more to come soon

to run n64 games you need mupen64 which is the emulator and to boot that you have to use xell to launch the libxenon files which you launch xell if its installed by pressing the eject button on boot instead of power or you can get a shortcut application which I am having trouble finding a dl for

This I how I lay it out. It works great in freestyle dash but you need to add the source to the list of folders to scan in settings. Let me know if you need more detail...

Sorry its not very clear unless your bang into FTPclients like Filezilla and you have the files in front of you I am in work now so from memory.....

Your can launch right from the dash assuming you use freestyle if you use metro/nxe then you may need to use xell or xexmenu but you will also need to ensure you use the xex version of Genesis360 I use the later version which is a god package however placing this in the right place eg content/0000000000 would probably have it show in nxe/metro.

Anyway this is how I did it which works fine for me.....

FTP to your xbox and create an Emus folder
Download Genesis360 and Snes 360 they probably have readme.txt files so give them a read I "think" I got them from xbin$

Genesis360 is layed out like so.....
    Hdd1 / Emus / Genesis360 / FFED7300 / 00007000 / 00001039.data <----- this is the Emulator
Hdd1 / Emus / Genesis360 / Preview <----- Not sure whats here might not even need it,
Hdd1 / Emus / Genesis360 / Roms <----- Roms in here, cant remember if individually zipped roms work, test with one.

Snes360 is layed out like so.....
Hdd1 / Emus / Snes360 / ???????.xex <----- This is the Emulator I imagine its "default.xex" and there are loads more files in here
Hdd1 / Emus / Snes360 / media / <----- Lots of pictures and music to make the emulator look, sound and maybe even smell nice.
Hdd1 / Emus / Snes360 / Preview / <----- Again not sure whats here might not even need it.
Hdd1 / Emus / Snes360 / Roms / <----- Roms in here, cant remember if individually zipped roms work, test with one.

I asked about this once an no-one wanted to help but then I realised once you have the files downloaded its pretty easy to work out yourself.

Edit, you need to add the EMUS folder in the scan settings, ticking the emulators box on the left and right and I think I had to use level 3.

If its not working post back and ill check when its in front of me.

Second edit, I just thought the preview folder might be there becouse I used a custom icon and box art for them both using the freestyle web admin page.
