I have a liteon 74850c, as the title says, and I flashed the drive a while ago. I still have all the files from when I first flashed it but when I connect the drive to my computer it says DVD key not found. I know its probably a really simple solution but I cannot figure out how to use the same files from last time, can anyone help?
Edit:
Btw I don't have a Ck3 probe, I used a Maximus Xtractor when I first flashed the drive. I don't know it that is anything relevant but all of the wonderful tutorials out there use a Ck3 probe so I cannot use any of them to help me.

Well I have another problem now. For some reason the computer wont detect the drive. Any suggestions?
You dont have a compatible chipset. Buy a VIA 6421 or x360usb pro.

Alright but that still really doesn't explain how I was able to flash the drive like 10 months ago and now the same computer can't find the drive
Edit:
I found a VIA6421 in my house and that seems to be allowing the computer to recognize the DVD drive, but I have another problem now.
I loaded the LTPlus-025-v2.0 into the "open target firmware" then I load dummy.bin into "open source firmware" and then I get a response of "Lite-On firmware loaded to Source buffer! Do you wish to auto-load Lite-On LT-Plus?" so I clicked yes. Then I get a message of "Can't open C:\ (blah blah blah target destination....) LTPlus-748v1.1.bin"
I know that 1.1 was the last time I flashed my drive but I don't understand why I would be looking for the old firmware and if I'm suppose to use that firmware or did I miss a step?

chipset compatibility drops off. TX and c4 dont maintain compatibility in order to work on newer features for the slims. it makes perfect sense.
tell auto load no and select the one you already chose (025-v2.0).

Well I clicked no and then proceeded to erase the Liteon drive, in a tutorial on youtube it said that I had to, and then I got a message saying that the DVD keys don't match. I'm guessing that the file is bad and I have to reobtain the key?
no. if you know that is the right key you need to do this:
1) load dummy into source
2) load ixtreme manually into target
3) hit spoof source to target
4) proceed as usual. any popups about this drive doesnt match is probably because the drive serial says 7series but all liteons are now 02150.

Sorry for being such a pain, but so I proceeded through the steps, on Lite-On Erase button, and then when the I am suppose to turn off the drive and turn it back on i get an error saying "device intro failed!" I don't know
It's ok bud, it happens sometimes. To get it perfectly, wait until it comes up as status 0x72, then quickly flick the power off then back on again on the drive.
If you need your drive flashed for a low price or have any questions, PM me!
