Ok, got the drivers installed. Apparently the USB on the front of my comp was the problem. It kept giving me a "USB input device" when plugged in but changed to the correct one when I switched ports and installed the drivers correctly. This is a previous flashed drive to 1.6 so I got it in vendor mode now, but no DVD key as outlined in the tutorial. Now do I go to the firmware tool and flash the OFW and then the 1.91?

Also, my flash chip properties are not the same as in the tutorial. Is there anything I should look for to indicate a problem?

you will not have the exact same flash chip properties as it shows in the tutorial pic - it is just a reference to go by that you should be able to see it

if you dont have your key follow the guide to extract it for your type drive

When I click "read" for flashing tasks, My flashchip properties is listed as 0x90. I didn't have the ixtreme and firmware pack in the same folder and JF.exe so that messed me up. Under firmware tool32 tab, should I open the BENQ-OFW.bin I got from my drive? I think maybe it believes it's a stock OFW even though it's ixtreme 1.6? Anyhow, for target firmware, should I direct to "BenQ_Pre_13141" folder in stock firmware and use the E030.bin since I remember my flashchip properties before saying E040 I think?

    This is my log

    Firmware is: iXtreme LT

I can't get any flashchip properties or drive properties under port 0x0000 so I have to find some way to get my drive key onto the 1.91 firmware and write to the drive correct?

did you ever find out what dash you were on? yes use that stock file then - your BenQ OFW file you are using doesn't matter what fw is on it for the source - as long as it has your key -

I spoofed the target with my DVD key. But how do I get the drive recognized by JF to flash the drive now? I can't see any flash properties or that the drive in vendor mode. This is the last of my log

I'm really not that helpless. I've built at least a dozen comps and repaired many more. But for some reason I can't get this. Thanks for your patience. I had to unplug and re-plug the USB cable to recognize the x360pro and got it to work again.

but I can't wrap my head around the process. Anyhow, I think I flashed it to stock. Now I just change the target to the new 1.91 firmware? Which firmware in the firmware folder in JF is the one I should use? I assume the "LTPlus-benq-v1.91.bin"? I couldn't find which dash I have but got these off my system info D-2.0.12625.0 K:2.0.12625.0 (BK:2.0.1888.0) x-3D7B-01BC-43D4-B807

*I also just noticed that the DVD key @A020 in the target file does not match my DVD key in the source. This is used from the "LTPlus-benq-v1.91.bin" file when pointed to it. Shouldn't the DVD key match the target?

no you need to hook back up to live and update to the latest dash

then use the same BenQ OFW you used when flashing to stock in the source and LTPlus-benq-v1.91.bin in the target - spoof the key to copy it over and you are good to erase and write
