How NOT to waste your expensive discs!

Avoiding to waste your discs arn't really hard.

When burning remember to set the layerbreak to 1913760
If you dont do that your game WILL NOT WORK ON THE 360!

Another importent step is to check your iso with AGBX360 for stealth check and such.

Also remember to change your booktype to DVD-ROM (Thats very important if you dont wanna get banned from Xbox live!).

    And VERY importent!

DONT BUY CHEAP MEDIA! Trust me. You get what you buy. You buy cheap media... well you get cheap media.

My 1st backup had SO MANY random bad areas it me wonder how to game even worked..

My 2nd backup.. well the WHOLE layer 1 (thats layer 2 btw) was dead!.

So dont go out and buy cheap media.. (The platinium discs acturally was 4$!) its only going to hurt you.

I recommend the Verbatim DVD+R DL discs. I got a 10DVD cakebox with Vabatim DVD+R DL 8x discs, and ive burned 3 backups now and know what? No single bad burn

Hi, I'm looking to burn a backup for the first time, but I'm unsure of 2 things in the above post. I know to burn at a low speed, but I'm unsure of what "set the layerbreak to 1913760" means, and how it's done. Also, I know what booktyping to DVD-ROM is, but I'm unsure of how to do it. Are those 3 things the only vital components to successfully burning a disk?

Easy, after you verify your backups with abgx, download img burn, then, open the .dvd file with imb burn, this will set the layerbreak, and load the .iso

Oh, also, forgot to ask; does that also change the booktype to DVD-ROM?

Tools > Settings > Write > Layerbreak will be in the top right field.

Edited out as it gives info on piracy.

Once your in the the burn window select your iso then go to the bottom right of the window and you will see a book icon. That is where you select your appropriate burner and make sure it says DVD-ROM. If configured correctly it should say 'success'.

This guy is right on the money with this guide. Make sure you pay close attention to the things I bolded from his post. This will make your back-ups PERFECT for Xbox 360.

    Thanks RobseRob!
