safe to intall a Fat xbox 360 hard drive in my new slim?

Just want to know if I can take apart my old hard drive and then place it in the slim without some sort of ban or anything like that.. Someone said you can get banned for that but 4real that sounds like bull&$#^ cus I see people using third party hard drives in the slim they bought of ebay and no one getting banned...

I don't see why not. It'll be formated for xbox 360. You'll need the case though or maybe you can insert it without slim HDD case. Like ps3.

saw a youtube vid of it without a case being used on a slim... I ordered a empty case on ebay but have to wait for it to come in the mail... but in the mean time I will be using without case around hdd so I just wanted to see if i could do all that without something coming up... anyways imma wrap it in something too so that it does not move while its in there.. damn i so wish this was as simply as my ps3. I would just go to best buy and buy a 500gb hard drive like i did for the ps3.. oh well... anyways i think imma go to gamestop and get a used fat xbox hard drive since i hear they have them on sell.. maybe get a 60gb, or a 120gb..
