    The JungleFlasher recognize my samsung drive as liteon drive

    I have some weird problem.My xbox drive is thoshiba samsung model TS-H943(that's what wrtten on my drive sticker),but when i connect the drive to my computer with a sata cable and run JungleFlasher,it recognize my xbox drive as lite on drive.
    in the MTK flash 32 tab ,in the drive properties is writen:vendor: PLDS,Name:16D2S and NOT TS-H943 as it should be.

    somebody can explain me this weird problem?has someone else has this problem also?

    It looks like your drive has been spoofed.
    Is it a pre-owned console or was it purchased already modded?
    Is this the definition of irony?

    yes it purchased already modded withe the iXtreme 1.41.

    The original drive was a Liteon.
    This drive was replaced with a samsung & the samsung was spoofed as a Liteon with ixtreme 1.4.
    You can still update the ixtreme to 1.6
    Use JF to dump the drives FW.
    In the firmware you need the dumped FW as source & samsung ixtreme1.6 as the target.
    Spoof to target & the info should read samsung ms25/28 ixtreme1.6 spoofed as Liteon PLDS.
    Erase the drive & write new FW to it.
    Is this the definition of irony?

    how i use JF to dump the drives FW?adn wha do you mean "In the firmware you need the dumped FW as source & samsung ixtreme1.6 as the target"?.
    can you explain to me or give me a refernce how to do this...i am new in this thing.

    Read the JF tutorial to get an understanding of the steps involved for flashing drives.
    You can find the tutorial in James sig,just look for any post he's made.

    Alrihgt i understand now what yoy said.But now i have a problem to get the drive to vender mode.the only way to get modded samsung into vender mood is bt usinig the activate cd? or there is another wa to do it?

    Try the half open tray method if nothing else works.

    yeah i try it but it didn't work...i have already burn the activate CD and from there everything went smoothly.
