Hi, what media are you using? What speeds you burning your backups @? Have you tried a pot tweak?
Hey there guys/gals, I know that there are a lot of posts throughout the site dealing with the 'Open Tray' issue, however, none seem to match up with the problem I'm having (Or I haven't found the proper post yet)... either way... here is my issue:
I recently flashed my BenQ VAD6038 to the latest version of iXtreme (LT 1.1 at the time of this writing) and everything seems to have gone extremely well. I haven't had any problems reading and original games, DVD's, CD's or even most backup games. But herein lies the problem, Wave 6-7 games seem to have issues when loading (Even when using an Activate disc). 90% of the time the drive returns an 'Open Tray' message and refuses to play the disc, but there is that 10% chance that the disc is read properly and plays with no issue. All old backups play without any problem what so ever, I even used the Wave 3 PPF patcher on some of the backup ISO's and even those have issues. So as much as I'd want to think that its an issue with a certain wave, I know that it will play previous backups (Regardless of wave) without issue.
Has anyone else had this problem? I have purchased a new drive and am having the same issue with it. The only thing that I can think of is that my DVD burner is dieing, which is possible... but as of now, I'm open to any ideas, sick of burning the same game 4 times for no reason!
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks![]()

Hey there,
Media: Verbatim DL
Speed: 2.4x
And no, I have not tried a pot tweak as of yet.
Try a pot tweak, it sounds like your laser is getting weak![]()
